Part of renowned German MNC, geared to start local production of stainless steel brewing vessels and tanks with European engineering, is looking for : Post : Quality Assurance Manager - CRD/2063 Location : Pune. Qualifications : B.E. (Mechanical / Welding Technology) Experience requirements : 8 to 10 years experience.

• The Person should have experience in the area of inspection & testing of stainless steel tanks, vessels, heat exchangers etc.
• He shall also have knowledge of manufacturing sequence, welding techniques, machining of components, surface finish measurement technique.
• He shall be in a position to read, interpret the manufacturing drawings & based on it shall prepare the quality assurance plan for the various jobs.
• Exposure in the area of stage wise inspection like material identification, weld setup inspection, knowledge of NDT checks like Dye Penetrant, Radiography, Ultrasonic Test, Eddy current test, Hydro test, Pneumatic test etc. is must.
• He shall have knowledge of various welding techniques, Welding Procedure Qualification, Procedure Qualification Record, and Welder Qualification is must.
• Knowledge of welding consumables, selection of welding consumables, various welding positions etc.
• Candidate shall be conversant with ASME Sec VIII Div 1, ASME SEC II, ASME Sec V, ASME Sec IX, TEMA, etc.
• Procedural knowledge of ISO 9001, TQM etc. is must. Certification as a “Lead Auditor” would be an added advantage.

Job description :

• To establish the Quality system & ISO 9001 for Company
• To establish a proper quality auditing system.
• To establish the welding procedures, qualification of welders & its record keeping.
• Shall develop various format for maintaining records at various stages.
• Implements the quality procedures throughout the company. To begin with it may be from design department up to the dispatch of goods.
• To support the production team to evolve quality systems from first production stage.
• To support in selecting the manpower for quality assurance department.
• To build quality awareness in the team.
• To establish traceability record of equipments being manufactured as per Company standard and as per the requirements of the customer.
• To support the production team to deliver the first quality jobs within the stipulated time frame & within the budgeted cost.
• Ensure the effective implementation of Quality Plan & its effectiveness check on the shop floor.
• Identify & solve, on a daily basis the quality problems and bottle necks to ensure smooth production.
• Coordination with Design Manager & Production Manager.
• Quality checks & Inspection at contractors & vendors place.
• Monitoring & control of quality systems, & record keeping of the same.
• Preparation of monthly report for MIS purpose indicating the problem faced, time lost, rework carried out, rejection level etc.
• To establish the KPI system in the organization.

• Knowledge of welding techniques, welding consumable used, advantages & disadvantages of various welding techniques.

• Coordination skills to handle customer representative or third party inspection agency.
• Use of various measuring instruments.

The plants are designed for 12 brews per day and 650 hl of cast wort per brew.
